-------- Gosh. This. Took. Me. A. Bloody. Age. No, I'm serious. I put so much effort into this particular piece. Especially the blurdy basketball court floor. It's an indoor stadium, so I had to do all the reflections, and spotlights and stuff. I figured out how to do the crowd and it all got covered up by the spotlights shiny-ness in the end, anyway.   how much time gone... TT__TTbut, as much as I'm complaining, I love this picture. I think it turned out well if not for the pencil lines, but hey. I got this idea some time ago after I drew Sasuke on a bike (I hate that pic now, for some reason) and someone suggested I do him playing basketball. So after procrastinating for over a year, I finally got around to a girls-versus-guys basketball competition. I know, I'm a sucker for gals vs guys situation, I'm a feminist. Not too much, but I honestly believe that girls are as capable as guys. so there. Konoha's ANBU are having a break!! playing basketball. which naturally, ends up becoming a competition. Naruto's cheering in the bg and Hinata's not sure whether or not she should block him or faint. I know Neji looks very short, but I meant him to be pretty far from Sasuke, but I got carried away doing all their beautiful shoes and I ended up making his too big. sorry. he looks really short, I know. the kanji in the bg, "ganbatte" means "Work hard". [EDIT} - I forgot to mention this!!!! SORRY!!!! Sasuke and Sakura's poses were done with reference to one of the pictures in =pandabaka's tutorial here: How I Draw Chara Pose> Did i mention that I love the shoes??? ^^ ok, stop ranting now. P/S - I don't blurdy care if any of you insensitive people don't LIKE SasuSaku playing basketball, so don't freakin' leave me a stupid comment saying "this is stupid, why the hell are the Konoha ninjas playing basketball?" because honestly, I draw what I want to draw and you ought to get a LIFE. sorry to all my wonderful critiques, but I hate those kind of people. I got one comment on my Sasuke motorcycle pic like that once, and I shot right back at the idiot. what's their problem??  love the rest of you!Oh, and Happy Chinese New Year!!! -arissa- |
